For Emergency Callouts: Such as uncontrollable water leaks, an unusable toilet (when it’s the only toilet in the house), or complete loss of power, we aim for you to be with the customer within two hours.
For Priority Callouts: Such as no heating or hot water, we aim for same-day response.
All Other Callouts: Please contact the customer promptly to arrange a suitable day and time to attend.
Will turning down a job affect my ranking?
No, turning down a job will not affect your position. We understand that you have other commitments and may not be available for every job. We value flexibility and do not require a specific number of job acceptances.
What should I do after accepting a job?
After accepting a job, you'll receive the customer's full details from us. Your next step is to promptly contact the customer to schedule a convenient time for your visit.
Will I receive a call-out fee if the customer isn't home when I arrive?
No, to avoid wasted trips, please call the customer while you are on your way to confirm they are home.
When will I receive payment after completing a job?
We pay you fast and directly, usually within 10 working days or less of job completion.
How is negative feedback from customers handled?
If a customer provides negative feedback about your service, you will have the opportunity to discuss the situation with us. We understand that circumstances can vary, and we aim to understand your perspective before taking any action.
Do I need to wear an OpenFix uniform?
No, our customers are aware that we work with qualified independent tradesmen who are from their local area. You can wear your own branded clothing and use a sign-written van. We simply ask that you maintain a smart and professional appearance.
